PATH AS GUIDE

an online intensive, january - march 2021

the 2020s.

it feels quite clear that this decade is meeting us as individuals & the collective in incredibly complex ways.  how do we orient when conditions are so dynamic and new? what are we learning?  how do we move forward in uncharted terrain in a way that aligns with our deepest values and honors a long view of life & time?

through several specifically curated facets of yoga paths (mārga) & buddhist paths (magga)

and the support of kind & honest community, we can detangle confusion in its many forms.  we can move forward with steadied energy & a greater sense of freedom.

REGISTRATION & PAYMENT

FEE

  • this immersion is offered in the radical gift economy model.  the suggested fee for the 9 weeks is $250-350, but anyone is sincerely encouraged to enroll, regardless of ability to pay.  some will give less while others who can might give more.

LEVEL

  • this immersion is open to all levels of experience, though some familiarity with either yoga, meditation or mindfulness will likely prove beneficial.

    • if you're interested but new to practice, try to attend a saturday sangha (see "community" on homepage) or two before the immersion if possible.

ATTENDANCE

  • this will be a "closed group" once the immersion begins; no drop ins will be possible.

  • attending the zoom sessions on wednesday evenings LIVE is ideal.  i understand however that this is not always possible!  folx in different time zones, in positions that don't allow for it, like parenting, etc...  so we have two options:

  1. for participants who CAN attend MOST of the LIVE wednesday zoom sessions (you'll be asked to mark this in your registration):

    • great! need to miss a full session or two, or a bit of one session here or there?  no problem.  if you can, please email sarah in advance & let her know.

    • you will be partnered with another person who also attends LIVE sessions (unless you request a specific partner who cannot attend live).

  2. for participants who CANNOT attend the LIVE wednesday zoom sessions (you'll be asked to mark this in your registration)

    • we ask that you download & practice with/watch the wednesday zoom session BY SUNDAY of that same week (just do your best).  this commitment is designed to:

      • keep you in connection to the group.

      • enable you and your partner to stay up to date on the partner work.

      • provide a specific framework to encourage consistency in your practice.

    • you will be partnered with another person who also is NOT attending most session live (unless you request a specific partner who is attending live).

  • ALL participants will have access to recorded zoom sessions, available to download, within 24 hours of the live practices (i'll aim for thurs morning).  downloads will remain available through april 30, 2021.
